Welcome to the depths...

You play as a researcher working at a government facility near the outskirts of the pacific. Calamity strikes. You fall 2000 feet deep, reality morphs, questions arise, and the darkest depths hold the most horrid truths. Can you survive?

Description

Out of Our Depths is a short first-person survival horror created in Unity, playing on the thalassophobia tropes of the genre as well as the environmental storytelling of the genre's origins.

This game was created by students from University of Lincoln: Ahad Khan, Archie Minney, Max Truswell, Phoebe Mansfield and Rowan Halliwell for a Team Software Engineering Project.

Below the thunders of the upper deep,
Far, far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep...
------
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by man and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.
"The Kraken", Alfred, Lord Tennyson

This was a fun little experience. It definitely had some strangeness to how it controlled, and it seemed to simultaneously launch in a tiny 4:3 aspect ratio and also widescreen, but it worked well enough. Keep up the good work, I hope your projects in the future get bigger!
